Remove the shock absorber. Disconnect the center link from the Pitman arm. Use a suitable spring compressor, following the manufacturer's instructions, to relieve tension on the spring. Compress the spring. Remove the nuts and bolts securing the inner end of the lower control arm to the frame. Slowly lower the control arm. Remove the spring and compressor as a unit. Note the installation of the upper insulator between the upper end of the spring and the frame.
