    How to check and replace the Motor And Transmission Mount on the Lincoln Town Car? Posted by Leshanda P.
    A:
    To inspect the transmission mount, insert a screwdriver or prybar into the gap between the transmission housing and crossmember, prying the transmission up slightly. If there's significant movement, replace the mount. To do this, remove the nuts attaching it to the crossmember and the bolts attaching it to the transmission housing and lift the transmission with a jack, removing the old mount. Installation is the reverse of removal.
