Lincoln F4ZZ-19A706-A Resistor Assembly

Remove the access panel from the right rear quarter trim panel by rotating the locking knobs one-quarter-turn counterclockwise. Disconnect the electrical connector from the resistor to replace the blower motor resistor for the auxiliary climate control, then remove the retaining screws. Next, remove the blower motor resistor mounting bolts and the resistor itself. Installation is the reverse of removal. To remove the blower motor, disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor, remove the cooling tube and the retaining screws. Installation is also the reverse of removal.

To Replace the blower motor resistor the first step that you need to take is to remove the glove box. Subsequently, remove the electrical connector of the blower motor resistor, the mounting screws and finally remove the resistor from the housing. When installing the files, one should do it in the reverse order as when uninstalling. To reach the blower motor, one has to take out the right kick panel and lay aside the carpet below the blower motor. Remove the blower motor electrical connector, then release the screws in order to remove the blower motor. Once more, installation is the exact opposite of removal.

In the engine compartment, locate the resistor near the blower motor.
