    There are nineteen bolts to be removed (note the locations of special studded bolts) before the timing chain cover can be removed. If it's stuck, tap it gently with a soft-face hammer just enough to break the gasket's bond. Caution: DO NOT use excessive force or you may crack the cover. If the cover is difficult to remove, double check to make sure all of the bolts have been removed.
