    To remove and install the Pitman arm, remove the cotter pin and separate the center link from the Pitman arm ballstud. Mark the Pitman arm and steering gear shaft, remove the Pitman arm nut and washer, and remove the Pitman arm with a puller. Inspect the ballstud threads and seals, clean the threads, and install the Pitman arm, aligning the marks.
