    What are the steps involved in removing the balljoint stud and lowering the Control Arm for the 1997 Ford Crown Victoria? Posted by Candy H.

    Remove the cotter pin from the balljoint stud. Loosen the castle nut on the stud. Use sharp raps on the steering knuckle near the stud to release pressure and loosen the stud.
