    The EGA system reduces NOx emissions by recirculating exhaust gases. EGA flow rate is determined by monitoring pressure across a metering orifice. There are two systems: PFE and DPFE. EEC system detects EGR issues and sets trouble codes. Excessive flow causes rough engine operation, while insufficient flow leads to elevated temperatures. Checks involve evaluating the EGR valve, vacuum hoses, and control system. EGR valve is controlled by EVR and PCM. EGR control system uses PFE or DPFE. Components are checked for voltage, resistance, and performance. Replacements include EGR valve, EVR, and DPFE sensor. Safety precautions and protective gear are essential. Care is emphasized during cleaning to prevent damage.
