    How to remove and install the coolant reservoir on the Ford F-150? Posted by Customer

    For models from 2004 through 2008, start with the removal of the accumulator, though the coolant is reusable if not drained, and it is still in good shape. Thirdly, remove the hoses from the coolant reservoir by 'unscrewing' them with a little force using the spring clamps then unbolt the mounting bolts to pull out the reservoir. After that, it is necessary to lift the reservoir out of the engine compartment. The process of installation is very much similar to the process of removal but in reverse order and the proper concentration of the antifreeze has to be added to the cooling system. For models from 2009 onwards, be careful with the cap of the coolant reservoir bottle, it is best to treat it as a hot radiator cap. The coolant reservoir is mounted on the air filter lower casing, and details are described in the corresponding section of the manual.

    I'm looking at part# BL3Z-8A080-B and I need to know if this part has threads for the coolant cap or is this the flip type cap? I've tried to look at the diagram but it's hard to tell, kind of looks like the flip type. I need the reservoir that has the threads. Before I order, I want to make sure I'm getting the right part.
