Ford F8VZ-11654-AA Switch Assembly

To remove the detachable knob type headlight switch, detach the headlight switch knob by using a pointed tool to lift the release tab at its base. Use a pointed hooked tool to lift the retaining clip, then pull the knob off the shaft. Remove the switch bezel, the retaining screws, and withdraw the switch and bracket from the instrument panel. On the knob-type switch, remove the bracket bolts and withdraw the switch and bracket as an assembly. On 1997 and later models, the instrument cluster panel must be removed first. Disconnect the connector, then remove the nut and separate the switch from the bracket. Installation is the reverse of removal.
