    With the assembly mounted in a vise, connect one jumper cable from the negative battery terminal to the body of the starter and another from the positive battery terminal to the B+ terminal on the starter. Use a starter switch to apply battery voltage to the solenoid S terminal for 10 seconds or less. Observe the solenoid plunger, shift lever, and overrunning clutch for movement.
