    How to remove and install the tilt steering column covers and ignition key lock cylinder on Ford Escape? Posted by Customer

    On tilt steering columns, move the column to the lowest position. Remove the ignition key lock cylinder. Remove the screws, then separate the halves and remove the upper and lower steering column covers. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Remove the driver's knee trim panel. Gently push in on the lower column cover, then use a plastic trim tool or a screwdriver wrapped with tape to separate the upper cover. Remove the three screws from the lower cover. Release the tilt lever, then remove the lower cover. Installation is the reverse of removal.
