    If the shock absorber was replaced on 2015 and later models, install the upper mounting bracket to the shock absorber and tighten the piston rod nut to the torque.

    Guide the assembly up into the fenderwell. Align the previously made match marks. Insert the upper mounting studs through the holes in the body. Once the studs protrude, install the new nuts to prevent the shock from falling back through, but don't tighten them yet.
