    How is the driveshaft reinstalled for the 2011 Ford Ranger? Posted by Customer

    Installation is the reverse of removal with the following additions. Lubricate the slip yoke splines with chassis grease. Inspect the housing seal for damage and replace it if necessary. Do not allow the driveshaft slip yoke to bottom out on the output shaft. Make sure that the center bearing bracket is aligned at right angles or "square" with the driveshaft. If there were spacers under the bracket, install them again. Line up the paint marks on the rear yoke and the rear axle companion flange. Tighten all fasteners to the torque specifications.
