To remove the front driveshaft on models with CV joints, you should remove the driveshaft shield, mark the relationship of the driveshaft to the differential mating flange, and then proceed to remove the bolts securing the front end of the driveshaft to the differential mating flange and the driveshaft universal joint to the transfer case.
