    To install the intermediate shaft, follow these steps: a) Lubricate the lips of the transaxle seal with multipurpose grease. b) Carefully guide the intermediate shaft into the transaxle side gear and then install the mounting nuts for the bearing support and tighten them. c) The remainder of the installation is the reverse of removal.
