    How do you access and remove the Dimmer Switch assembly for the 2006 Ford Fusion? Posted by Customer

    Reach through the opening in the end of the instrument panel and push on the back of the switch while simultaneously prying the switch out of the dash with a trim removal tool. Use a trim removal tool to pry the headlight switch/instrument panel dimmer switch/trunk release switch and ambient light switch assembly out of the instrument panel. For 2013 and later models, use a trim removal tool to pry the headlight switch/instrument panel dimmer switch assembly out of the instrument panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the switch assembly.
