- A:For V6 models with 2.7L engines, support the engine from below, remove the right front engine mount and bracket, and remove the thermostat. Remove the water pump pulley bolts and pulley, disconnect the coolant hose, and remove the water pump mounting bolts. Pull the water pump forward to disconnect the coolant inlet pipe grommet.
