    What are the steps to remove the fan clutch for the 2012 Ford F-150? Posted by Customer

    Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.Remove the air intake duct.Detach the retainer for the power steering fluid cooler hose from the fan motor and shroud assembly.Detach the retainer from the power steering fluid reservoir stud bolt.Detach the wiring harness retainer from the left side of the fan motor and shroud assembly.Detach the two retainers for the alternator battery harness from the top of the cooling motor and shroud assembly.Detach the wiring harness retainer from the right side of the fan motor and shroud assembly.Disconnect the electrical connectors from both cooling fan motors.Detach the three cooling fan motor harness retainers. Remove the four battery junction box bracket bolts. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir stud bolt and set the reservoir aside. Remove the two bolts that secure the cooling fan motor and shroud assembly and lift the assembly out of the engine compartment. If only removing the fan shroud assembly, no further disassembly is necessary. If replacing a fan or motor, unbolt the motor from the shroud. Remove the fastener that secures the fan to the motor.
