    Q:
What if the Radiator Fan is okay, but it isn't coming on when the engine gets hot for the 2012 Ford Escape? Posted by Emelie T.
    A:
In this case, the problem might be with the fan relay. Locate the fan relays in the engine compartment fuse/relay box and test the relay. If the relay is okay, check all wiring and connections to the fan motor. If no obvious problems are found, the issue could be related to the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Have the cooling fan system and circuit diagnosed by a dealer service department or repair shop with the proper diagnostic equipment. Q:
What should I do if the engine is overheating and the Radiator Fan is not coming on when the engine temperature rises to an excessive level for the 2009 Mercury Mariner? Posted by Verified Customer
    A:
First, unplug the fan motor electrical connector(s) and connect the motor directly to the battery with fused jumper wires. If the fan motor doesn't come on, replace the motor. You can Select Your Vehicle to see complete installation and repair tips.
