    How to remove and install Door Latch on Lincoln Town Car? Posted by Customer
    A:
    Remove door trim panel and peel back watershield. Remove remote control assembly and disconnect rod at control and lock cylinder. Remove door remote control retaining screws, pull out remote control and disconnect from rod. Disconnect push button or remote lock rod and handle from latch. Remove screws in end of door and detach latch. On 1998 and later models, drill out rivet holding latch actuator to door. Installation is reverse of removal procedure. Reattach latch actuator with bolt and nut, or install new rivet.
