    Why are regular oil and Oil Filter changes crucial preventive maintenance tasks for home mechanics on Ford Mustang? Posted by Aracely A.

    Engine wear is prevented by regular oil changes. Lift the car to get access to the oil drain plug and the filter. Allow the engine to warm up so that oil flows easily. Find a flat surface, turn off the engine, and remove the filler cap for oil. Lift it properly; position a drain pan under an engine, then pull out a plug. Let's drain out all oil, clean a plug, and reinstall it again. Take another one that has no remains of an old gasket and screw it on instead of the previous one. Now lower the vehicle, add fresh oil, and check if there is enough of it inside. If everything is okay, start an engine, look for leaks around everywhere, and adjust the oil level when necessary.
