To remove the cooling fans when working on the front bumper cover and airbag sensors, follow these steps:1. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands.2. Drain the engine coolant.3. Remove the front bumper cover.4. Remove both airbag sensors, ensuring you disarm the airbag system before working in the area of the cooling fans.5. Remove the brackets from the top of the radiator and the nut and bolts from the hood latch, keeping the cable attached to the latch.6. Detach the wiring harness clips from the radiator and remove the bolt from the vertical center brace in front of the radiator.7. On four-cylinder models, disconnect the wiring from the fan resistor, and also disconnect the coolant recovery hose and push it aside.8. Disconnect the wiring from the cooling fans.9. Remove the two cooling fan mounting bolts and carefully lift the fan assembly out of the engine compartment.10 Installation is the reverse of removal.
