- A:Open the floor console storage armrest and disengage the retaining clips around the perimeter of the shift console/cup holder trim panel. Remove the panel and disconnect the electrical connectors. Disengage the storage bin edge trim fasteners and remove the trim pieces. Remove the storage compartment and the gear shift module (GSM) console frame assembly.
