How do I remove and install the blower motor and blower motor resistor in a Ford Escape? Posted by Customer

On 2007 and earlier models, start by removing the trim panel from below the glove box. For later models, remove the entire glove box. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor and remove the mounting screws. Take out the blower motor resistor from the evaporator housing. To install, follow the reverse steps. Remove the lower trim panel from below the glove box and disconnect the blower motor electrical connector. Remove the blower motor mounting screws and take out the blower motor. To install, follow the reverse steps. For 2008 and later models, remove the glove box and the trim panel below it. Disconnect the wiring from the blower motor. Release the two vent duct clips and pull the vent duct away from the heater core. Turn the blower motor counterclockwise to release it from the main housing and remove it. To install, follow the reverse steps.
