- Q:1998 Mercury Marquis GS We have some questions about your F8AZ5444891AA Torsion Bar We took the drawings of this part from our factory shop manual to our local Ford dealer for clarification. We also took them to two premier auto body shops in our city. All the folks contacted agreed the Ford factory drawings are confusing as to which bar is left and which is right. The local body shop guys said they just order out both a left and a right and return the one they don t use. We don t want to do that. We think the bar that broke on our car is P/N F8AZ5444891AA (left) even though it attaches to the right side trunk hinge. Most drawings for this part show it to have an anti-rattle rubber cover in place. Our broken one has the anti-rattle covering. The F8AZ5444890AA (right) bar does not. Please physically check your F8AZ5444891AA and advise us if it has this rubber cover, so we will be sure to order the correct P/N. Posted by Customer: 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis
