Lift the vehicle's rear onto jackstands and remove the nut from the Sway Bar Kit link's lower end and two link nuts. Remove the outer washer and insulator and disconnect the Sway Bar Kit. Remove inner insulators and washers, disconnecting the link from the frame by removing nuts and bolts. Remove the nuts attaching the retainer and bracket to the U-bolt, then remove the U-bolt and bar. To reinstall, reverse the process and secure all nuts and bolts.

To raise the front of the vehicle, securely place it on jackstands. Disconnect the right and left ends of the sway bar kit from the link assembly attached to the axle beam bracket by removing the nut and bolt from each side. Remove the sway bar kit by disconnecting the sway bar kit bracket bolts and supporting the kit while removing the nuts from the two sway bar kit brackets. Check the bracket bushings and linkage bushings for wear, cracking, and signs of deterioration, replacing any necessary parts. To install the kit, loosely assemble all sway bar kit components with both link assemblies outboard of the bar. Force the sway bar kit to the rear to connect the bar ends to the link assemblies. Tighten the nuts and bolts retaining the link assemblies to the sway bar kit and axle brackets. Ensure the insulators are seated in the retainers and that the sway bar kit is centered in the assembly. Finally, tighten the sway bar kit bracket fasteners securely. Remove the jackstands and lower the vehicle.
