Next, disconnect any vacuum hoses or electrical connectors that might obstruct the air filter box removal, and make sure to mark them with pieces of numbered tape. Then, lift the air filter box from the engine compartment. To reinstall, switch the removal steps going from the last step to the first step.

How do you remove the Air Filter Box on Lincoln Town Car fuel-injected engine?

To remove the air intake assembly, detach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, loosen the bolt(s) from the air intake assembly on the intake manifold and the clamps on the air filter box. Remove the air intake assembly from the engine compartment by removing the mounting bolt and clamp and remove the air filter box mounting nuts and detach the assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal.
