Lincoln Navigator Torsion Bar

Lincoln Navigator Torsion Bar lets the big SUV stay level and smooth by acting as a twistable spring supporting front suspension weight. Mounted longitudinally to the frame and lower control arms, the Torsion Bar twists instead of compressing, saving space and mass while soaking up bumps. Each original Torsion Bar on a Lincoln Navigator is lighter than coils or leaves yet still forged spring steel, and its keyed lever with an adjuster bolt lets drivers raise or balance ride height without parts swaps. This Torsion Bar is also adjustable enough to compensate for normal metal fatigue, though severely worn bars can drop ride height, upset alignment, and roughen the drive. Over the years the Navigator has kept the same Torsion Bar layout, but stiffer bars are offered for heavier loads or off-road use, providing higher spring rates that curb bottoming and improve control, a change still sanctioned by Lincoln. Regular under-chassis inspections catch scrapes, bends, or cracked rubber mounts early, helping preserve the confident Lincoln handling current Navigator owners value.

We provide a wide range of Lincoln Navigator Torsion Bar at the optimal prices. If you need Lincoln Navigator Torsion Bar, you can shop with confidence on our website. All our OEM parts come with a manufacturer's warranty and are delivered to your doorstep with a fast delivery service.

Lincoln Navigator Torsion Bar Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to perform torsion bar adjustment on Lincoln Navigator?
    A:
If there is an air suspension system, switch it off to adjust the torsion bar. To loosen lug nuts, raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Take off the wheel and mark the position of the torsion bar. Using a puller, release tension and remove the adjustment nut. Slide forward to clear the cross member and remove the adjuster arm from the bar. Pull down and rearward on the torsion bar. If necessary, use brass drift to take it out. For installation purposes, lubricate the Control Arm and apply grease to parts of the adjuster and torsion bar. Align marks then reinstall the wheel. Lower the vehicle, tighten the lug nuts then measure ride height. Adjust the torsion bar until the vehicle sits levelly.
