The hood and rear liftgate are rather weighty and just difficult enough to hold open; thus this activity should be executed jointly at least by two persons. First, you need to lift the hood or the rear liftgate of the car for Expedition/Navigator, and after that to place the car properly. Next, one should apply a small screwdriver to the dismantling of the retaining clips at both the utterly end of the support strut and then apply a pry or pull influence on it to detach it from the vehicle.
