In order to remove the Turn Signal Switch you have to unhook the cable at the negative terminal of the battery, followed by removing the upper and lower steering column covers. The next are the mounting screws for the Turn Signal Switch that has to be unscrewed to remove this component from the multi-function switch assembly, then has to take the switch out and release the electrical connector by applying pressure on the release tab. For the windshield wiper/washer switch follow the same process that you followed for disconnecting the battery cable and removal of the steering column covers, then remove the mounting screws, remove the whole switch and debond the electrical connector from it. The Turn Signal Switch and the windshield wiper/washer switch are assembled on the steering column multi-function switch assembly base. When intending to unbolt or replace the steering column, the multi-function switch can be disconnected as an assembly. Start with the battery cable, steering wheel, and the steering column covers which will help in the progression of the task. Remove the terminal connectors from the multi-function switch and the other two switches while the next step is the removal of the screws that hold the multi-function switch to the steering column. For all components, installation is the reverse of removal.
