For the first generation models, first loosen and then unscrew the upper bolts on the bumper guards, then the screws that are on the bumper guard brackets and then remove the bumper guards. For the first generation models where the bumper is welded to the frame and all subsequent years of the model, you have to undo the two bolts on each side and then the bumper can be lifted off the frame. Subsequently, remove two lower bumper bolts and remove the bumper off the vehicle. For installation, the process should be reversed in used in reverse order to the removal process. Rear is a little different: first, you must loose the bumper bracket to frame bolts, next you must take off the bumper and brackets off the car. If you are installing a new bumper or brackets, put the undamaged parts from the previous assembly to the new one and then, to install it, follow the removal steps in the reverse way.
