How to remove and install the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers assembly on the Ford F-150?

Set the parking brake and place the shift lever in the Neutral position. Remove the center console side panels and top console shift cover. Separate the shift cable end from the shift lever using a screwdriver or trim panel tool, then disconnect the shift cable from the shift assembly mounting bracket. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid electrical connector and remove the four bolts to take out the shift lever assembly from the floor. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, and adjust the shift cable if necessary.
