How to remove and install an air filter box on the Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

Take off the power cable from the battery's negative terminal, unplugged the wire leading to the IAT sensor and the MAF sensor, removed the crankcase ventilation tube joined with its clamps to the air inlet tube, and freed the air outlet tube from both the throttle body and MAF sensor. Separate the hardware holding down the housing, and carefully pull off the upper section of the air cleaner from the vehicle. In order to take the lower Air Filter Box off, lift it straight up until the rubber grommets pop loose that secure the housing to the lower part of the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal.
