How to remove and install the HVAC Control Module on the climate control assembly of a Ford Excursion?

Remove screw, disengage clips, lower overhead console. Disconnect electrical connectors from HVAC Control Module, remove control assembly retaining screws, remove control assembly. Remove two HVAC Control Module retaining screws, remove HVAC Control Module. Installation is reverse of removal. Pull down on front of HVAC Control Module to pop loose two retaining clips, slide forward and downward to disengage two retaining tabs from engagement slots. Disconnect electrical connectors from HVAC Control Module. To remove rear HVAC Control Module, disconnect electrical connectors, remove two retaining screws, disengage assembly retaining tab from corresponding engagement slot; to replace one of three individual components, remove appropriate retaining bolt. Remove HVAC Control Module retaining screws, remove control assembly. Installation is reverse of removal.
