If you need to get rid of the components, begin by loosening the cable connected to the negative terminal. Turning to the right side of the front part of the car, undo the lug nuts of the right front wheel, lift the car and place it on two jackstands and then detach the wheel. Then, remove the fender splash shield, as well as unbolt and dispense with the drivebelt. For the 2015 and later models support it with a floor jack under the engine and interposing a piece of wood between the jack head and the oil pan to lift the engine slightly so that the pressure is off the front engine mount so as to free the mount and lower the engine to this position whereby the crankshaft pulley will be fully exposed. Remove the crankshaft pulley by using a two-pin spanner to fix the crankshaft pulley while removing the bolt that retains it then, using a three-jaw puller to remove the crankshaft pulley, while paying attention to the type of adapter to be used so as not to damage the crankshaft. Take out the seal of the timing chain cover using a seal puller; it is very important to note the thickness and the position of the seal for a replacement. During installation of this assembly, one has to look for damage on the front cover and pulley seal surface and in the process of doing this, correct as required. Remove the old seal and lubricate the new seal with clean engine oil and then place it on the timing cover with the help of a seal driver provided that the lip of the seal should be inside. Position the keyway of the pulley on the crankshaft key to install the pulley with a pulley installation tool using a pulley bolt and it is suggested that the bolt should be a new one tightened to the recommended torque. Replace the rest of the parts in the reverse manner, then fasten the wheel lug nuts, join the battery terminals, and start the car to determine if there are any leakage around the motor.
