How should the rear bumper be removed and installed safely on 2000 Ford Ranger?

The bumper is rather massive and it is quite inconvenient to remove and install it so it is recommended to do it in pair. First, prior to removal of the rear bumper, place a jack under the rear bumper. Further, release the bumper brackets from the car and swing the bumper down to some distance. As the case may be, remove the brackets from the vehicle. For removal, you will only need to do the reverse of installation and make sure that the nuts and bolts are properly tightened.
