  Before it's possible to take off the intake manifold you must turn off the cooling system. Next, raise the upper intake manifold and disconnect the EFI wiring, also, don't forget to put the label on the cables. Do not remove any fuel system parts while the fuel system pressure is on, or still existing. She would unstow the nut holding the wiring harness to the intake manifold and the ground strap at the back. Remove the three bypass hoses which are the ones connecting the radiator and the water pump on the one side to the water outlet on the other and the two throttle body cooler hoses. Some of the tasks may include; Remove the electrical connectors from different sensors and fuel injectors. Disconnect the heater water hoses together with the PCV heater hoses on the manifold, also, the camshaft position sensor and the camshaft synchronizer should be pulled out while the position of the engine is at TDC number 1 cylinder. Turn the lower intake manifold bolts and nuts in a 1/4 turn until they reach a position where they can be hand tightened and remove keeping track of their position. The manifold may be attached to the cylinder heads with a gasket and it may be necessary to pull the cylinder head to separate it, force may be needed to break the gasket; adhere to the use of pry bar to avoid damaging the gasket sealing surfaces. For installation tighten the bolts in a star pattern with torque applying the gasket removal solvents if necessary on the mating surfaces of the cylinder heads block and manifold. If possible, the new guide pins should be manufactured from the extra manifold bolts so as to improve its installation. Scrape out all remaining sealant and gasket material, then clean the parts and place newspapers over the lifter valley so as to avoid matters getting into the engine. Tag along the threads in the bolt holes and remove dust with the help of compressed air with safety glasses on. Squash a bead of RTV sealant in the corners where the manifold, block, and heads join, with the gaskets going on the cylinder heads with correct positioning. Arrange the end seals on the block and used the sealant on any points where the end seals abut the heads. Position all apertures properly and cautiously install the manifold once the sealant has not dried yet in order not to harm the gaskets. Make use of the bolts and torque them in the recommended pattern. The rest of the steps are in the exact reverse chronological order of execution of the 'remove' operations.
