    To remove the switch on 2006 and earlier models, start by disconnecting the wiring from the switch and rotating it clockwise. Then, turn the knob counterclockwise until it stops, start the engine, depress the brake pedal, and place the switch into its bracket. Finally, connect the wiring to the switch.
