Mercury F6DZ-17508-AA Wiper Motor Assembly

First, check the fuse. If the fuse is OK, connect a jumper wire between the wiper motor and ground, then retest. If the motor works now, repair the ground connection. If it still doesn't work, turn the wiper switch to the HI position and check for voltage at the motor. If there's voltage, remove the motor and check it off the vehicle with fused jumper wires from the battery. If it works, check for binding linkage. If it still doesn't work, replace it. If there's no voltage at the motor, check for voltage at the wiper control module. If there's voltage at the module and none at the motor, check the switch for continuity. If the switch is OK, the wiper control module is likely bad.

To detach the linkage arms, pry off each linkage arm from the pin on the end of the crank arm. These two linkage arms must be reassembled in the same order. Then, remove the crank arm retaining nut, followed by the crank arm, and finally remove the three wiper mounting bolts to take the motor from its mounting bracket.

Check for mechanical obstructions in the wiper linkage or on the vehicle's body that would prevent the wipers from parking. If there are no obstructions, check the wiring between the switch and motor for continuity. If the wiring is OK, replace the wiper motor.
