    How do you inspect the steering system for the 1988 Lincoln Town Car? Posted by Customer

    To inspect the steering system, set the wheels straight and raise one side of the vehicle. Wiggle the wheel to check for play and inspect pivot points and ballstuds for looseness. Raise the front of the vehicle and push up and pull down on the idler arm to check for looseness. Check for frozen joints and damaged components.
