Upper suspension work on 2009 and earlier models should be handled by professionals. For 2010 models onward, measure wheel hub to fender distance at rest. Remove the rear wheel, support the rear knuckle, detach upper arm from knuckle, and unbolt from the subframe. Remove subframe bolts and lower the subframe to remove the trailing arm. For rear bushing replacement, ensure new bushing markings face correctly. Tighten subframe bolts to torque, simulate ride height, tighten upper control arm fasteners and shock absorber bolts. Reinstall the wheel. For lower trailing arms on 2009 and earlier models, remove rear wheel, trailing arm-to-knuckle bolt and the shock absorber bolt. Lower the jack until spring isn't compressed, remove shock absorber, coil spring, and lower arm. Reinstall, simulating ride height. For trailing arms, remove wheel, support lower arm, remove trailing arm bolts and the arm. Reinstall in reverse, simulate ride height before tightening bolts. Finally, check wheel alignment. For toe links, remove wheel, support lower arm, remove toe link bolts. If stuck in 2013 models, use a two-jaw puller. Reinstall in reverse, simulate ride height before tightening bolts. Lastly, check wheel alignment.
