    How do you remove the Turbo for the 2014 Ford Edge? Posted by Autumn R.

    For 2015 and later V6 models, you need to drain the cooling system and remove the outlet pipes from the air filter housing. Also, remove the engine lower shield. For the left-side Turbo, remove the outlet pipe, heat shield, and inlet pipe. For the right-side Turbo, remove the cowl panel, right front wheel, and lower Charge Air Cooler intake pipe. Then, remove the Turbo oil supply tube, oil filter, coolant tube, wastegate control hose, and oil return tube. Remove the Turbo coolant supply tube bolt and the Turbo mounting nuts and bolt. Inspect and replace any necessary studs, bolts, and nuts. Install the Turbo(s) and tighten the new nuts/bolts. Also, install the new oil drain tube and gaskets, and new sealing washers for the oil feed line and coolant line. Finally, complete the installation in reverse order, refill the cooling system, and change the engine oil and filter. You can Select Your Vehicle to see complete installation and repair tips.

    For 2015 and later four-cylinder models, the process involves removing the cowl panel, draining the cooling system, and removing the right-front wheel and the engine lower shield. Disconnect the Turbo bypass valve electrical connector and detach the harness retainer. Also, disconnect the Turbo bypass hose clamp and hose. Then, remove the Turbo outlet pipe and the Turbo inlet pipe. Remove the Turbo coolant tubes and replace the banjo bolt sealing washers and tube O-rings. Afterward, remove the upper Turbo mounting nuts, heat shield, oil supply tube, and Turbo oil filter. Finally, disconnect the wastegate control hose and remove the Turbo oil return tube. Lower the engine slightly and disconnect the CHT sensor electrical connector and Turbo control valve vacuum tube retainers. Remove the remaining Turbo mounting nuts and remove the Turbo.
