To start, remove the cable that is connected to negative terminal of battery. Open the headlight switch and rheostat bezel with the trim tool or the suitable with a broad flat blade carefully but the trim should not be marred in the process. Pull off the electrical connectors from the headlight switch and rheostat by a squeezing of the release tabs. Take out the mounting screws of the headlight switch and rheostat and then take the former off the bezel. To remove the left side finish panel from the 2009 and later models after disconnecting the negative battery terminal, one should use a dull flat blade tool. Pull the headlight switch assembly partially to the left from the instrument panel to release the two tabs on the left side of the assembly, then disconnect the electrical connector and remove the assembly. The fluid level, accelerator and brake pedal height adjustment switch require the negative battery terminal to be disconnected, the instrument cluster bezel to be removed and the electrical connector of the switch released by depressing a tab. Removing the switch from the instrument cluster bezel is done by pinching the retainer springs and pushing the switch out. All components removal is the process in installation and all the components removal is the reverse of this process.
