Check the starter solenoid wiring and connections. Check the starter mounting bolts for tightness. Ensure that the shift lever is in PARK or NEUTRAL (for automatic transaxle) or that the clutch pedal is pressed (for manual transaxle). Check the adjustment of the Transmission Range (TR) sensor on vehicles with an automatic transaxle. For manual transaxle vehicles, ensure that the Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch is correctly installed. Check the operation of the starter relay located in the engine compartment fuse and relay box.
