To remove the air spring, start by turning off the air suspension switch and loosening the wheel lug nuts. Then, raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it on jackstands. Remove the wheel and heat shield. Take out the spring retainer clip and proceed to remove the air spring solenoid by unplugging the electrical connector and disconnecting the air line. Remove the solenoid clip and rotate the solenoid counterclockwise to the first stop, then pull it out to the second stop to release any residual air. After bleeding the air, rotate the solenoid counterclockwise to the third stop and remove it from the housing. To remove the spring, use an air spring removal tool or an equivalent tool to pry it off the axle tube and spring seat.
