    A:
    On the 2.7L engine, support the engine, remove the right engine mount and bracket, thermostat, water pump pulley bolts and pulley, disconnect the coolant hose, and remove the water pump mounting bolts. You can Select Your Vehicle to see complete installation and repair tips.

    How do you install the new Water Pump on the 2016 Lincoln MKX? Posted by Karen O.
    A:
    For 2.7L V6 models, remove and clean the mating surface on the front cover. Lubricate and install a new grommet into the backside of the pump. Lubricate and install a new O-ring gasket into the groove along the timing chain cover sealing surface. Verify the dowel pins are still remaining in the front cover. Install the water pump and tighten the bolts evenly, following the specified torque sequence. You can Select Your Vehicle to see complete installation and repair tips.
