Lincoln H2MZ-1104-W Hub Assembly - Wheel

After installation, install the wheels, lower the vehicle, and tighten the wheel lug nuts to the torque specified in the Specifications.

For 2010 and earlier models, install the wheel hub/bearing assembly onto the wheel knuckle, place the drive axle back through the knuckle into the hub, and loosely install new bolts and nuts into the lower arm, toe link, and lower shock mount. Raise the suspension with the floor jack if needed to align and install the upper arm bolt. Adjust the jack height to achieve the initial ride height measurement and torque the upper arm nut. Tighten the lower arm bolt, toe link bolt, and shock absorber lower nut to their specified torque. Reattach the stabilizer bar link and tighten the nut. Install the brake hose bracket, wheel speed sensor, brake disc, and brake caliper assembly. For all-wheel-drive models, secure the drive axle using the old wheel hub nut, then replace with new nuts and torque to specification.

Seat the driveaxle by using the old driveaxle/hub nut and washer, tightening it to the specified torque.

For the rest of the installation process, the steps should be reversed from the removal process. Make sure to tighten the brake fasteners and the driveaxle/hub nut to the specified torque.

First, apply the parking brake and loosen the wheel lug nuts. Then, raise the front of the vehicle and securely support it on jack stands. Remove the wheel and brake disc. Next, remove the hub dust cap and nut, and push the drive axle through the hub splines while removing the hub and bearing assembly. Care should be taken not to overextend the inner CV joint. Finally, support the outer end of the drive axle with a length of wire or rope.
