    Whenever the fuel tank is steam-cleaned or otherwise serviced, the vapor valve assembly should be replaced. Additionally, all grommets and seals must be replaced to prevent possible leakage.

    Loosen the screw clamps at the fill pipe and vent pipe, disconnect the pipes at the tank, and lower the tank. Disconnect vapor valve, fuel line, and electrical connectors from the sender unit, vapor and fuel pump module. It's advised to label hoses and connectors for simplified reinstallation and plug hoses/lines to prevent leakage and contamination.
