Before starting the work, refer to the warnings given. For 2007 and earlier models, to remove the A/C switch, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the radio/cassette player and ashtray. Unscrew the four screws inside the radio/cassette player opening and unclip the A/C switch from the dash. Carefully disconnect the various wiring connectors and unclip the heater operating cables from the temperature and direction controls. Once nothing remains attached, withdraw the panel from the dash. To remove the blower, direction, and temperature controls, follow the same steps as for removing the A/C switch. Remove the four securing screws at the back of the control panel and withdraw the control switch assembly. Pull off the control knobs if not already done and remove the retaining screw from the back of the switch to release it from the switch assembly. For the A/C switch, repeat the same steps as for the A/C switch removal. On 2008 and later models, to remove the climate control module and remove the center trim panel from the instrument panel. Disconnect the wiring from the climate control module, remove the four mounting screws, and then remove the module. For installation, follow the reverse of the removal procedures and check the operation of the controls and switches upon completion.
