Additionally, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands to inspect the shock absorbers for evidence of fluid leakage. Some light film of fluid is generally not a cause for concern, but if significant leakage is noticed, it's advisable to replace the shocks as a set. Ensure that the leakage is from the shocks and not another source. Check the shocks to make sure they are securely mounted and undamaged. Also, inspect the upper mounts for damage and wear.
